Assistance Training

Autistic Assitance

Photo of ChristianOur Autistic Support Service Dogs (Ssgi) have made such a difference in the lives they touch!  As a member of a Not-for-Profit Organization, all monies donated towards these wonderful companions are tax deductible!  When you choose an A K-9 Campus Service dog, you are sure to get a family member whose training has been tailored to suit their “charge’s” specific needs.  Sometimes, we can even accommodate specific breeds/types of dogs.  Children that have been diagnosed with Autism often times have texture preferences and would prefer a longer coated breed, while others prefer a slick smooth coated breed; Even  color of the dog can be of importance to the child.  A K-9 Campus is often able to take these preferences into consideration, providing your child with an easier transition to his/her new best friend.

Autistic Service dogs are beneficial for many reasons.  They can provide physical support as well as mental support for the people they assist.   Our Companion dogs are able to perform many tasks that are considered “standard” in Autism Support Dogs, as well as many tasks that are tailored to each unique situation.  A K-9 Campus trains a limited number of service dogs per year, this enables us to concentrate on specific areas.  This also allows us to personalize your companion to better suit the needs of the owner.  We take the time to ask many questions and communicate with each client often during training, providing updates and pictures.  This helps the waiting period seem shorter and the bonding process can start early.

The waiting period for an A K-9 Campus Service Dog is currently 6 months to 1 year  If you are interested, please visit our ”downloads” section and download a Service Dog Application .  Upon completion of the application, please fax or email your application to us and you will be contacted within 48 hours.
